French Guiana
In December 2013, I went to French Guiana to conduct fieldwork on frogs for a project with Elodie Courtois (on left of photo with long snake), Anthony Herrel (in many photos), and Hélène Morlon. The project was generously funded by the CEBA laboratory of CNRS (the French national research organization). We collected data on jumping and clinging performance for a project in which we will examine how intraspecific variation relates to interspecific divergence. (Note: top link [Hypsiboas boans] is a video of a big treefrog jumping from the force plate we used to measure 3-dimensional jumping forces.)
And yes, that IS a two-foot-long earthworm I am holding in one of the later photos!
